About Us

Established in 1973 the Fellowship for Jewish Learning is an intimate unaffiliated liberal Jewish congregation. Our Fellowship is a place for Jews who would like to be connected to their religion in an intimate environment.

The congregation is small, approximately 45 families, and is committed to sharing Jewish life, traditions and study together. The Fellowship is led by Rabbi Eric Hoffman. Rabbi Emerita is Rabbi Emily Faust Korzenik.  Musical Director is Nurit Avigdor.  Hebrew School faculty includes Rabbi Hoffman and Nurit Avigdor, assisted by Maia Freedman and Lynne Alswanger-Busch.

Our approach to Judaism is inclusive. Our group is diverse, including people of all ages, Jews from many different backgrounds and knowledge level and iinterfaith families.

Our atmosphere is welcoming and our acceptance of everyone who wishes to belong to the Fellowship is a living expression of our beliefs. This is how we live as a congregation and in the community at large.

We meet for Sabbath services once a month — on Friday nights and Saturday mornings — at the Friends Meeting House on Roxbury Road in Stamford, CT.  Our Hebrew School meets there once a week on Mondays from 4:15-6:00. Our Adult Education Study Group meets monthly. Our services are open to the community.

Each year, High Holiday Services are held at the Long Ridge School in Stamford.*  Admission is free, although a contribution is encouraged, and all are welcome to worship with us.

*Note: This program is not sponsored by The Long Ridge School.
